The frequency of facing plumbing problems in our homes can vary according to the age of our house. If we are living in the new home and you get plumbing problem then we can say that the plumber that installed the plumbing system is not good enough. There are common plumbing problems that we often encounter such as the following:
1. Leak On Pipes
If you had set the water pressure too high, then it can
cause stress on the pipes and you will likely to see leaks on its joints. Even
if it is just a simple plumbing problem, we could never assure that it will not
cause damage to our fixtures at home and even contribute to high water bills so
whenever you suspected that there is a leakage on the piping, make sure to call
a professional plumber for a quick fix.
2. Clogged Sinks And Drainage
We also experience clod sinks especially if you will not
mind what goes down in your sink. The small particles like grains, eggshells,
oils, and tiny bones will not only build up and blocks the passage of the
wastewater. It can also make the sink and drainage smell bad. You can prevent
that if you put a screen on the drainage to filter these particles and throw it
in the dustbin, instead.
3. Broken Toilet
We know how a hassle it could bring to us whenever we
could not flush out waste on our toilets. It can also difficult to stay in the
bathroom knowing that it is smelly due to its failure to flush. If this
happens, either you need to test the fill valve on the tank or call the plumber
to fix it out.
4. Discoloration Of Water
At first sight, we know it is not safe to drink any odd
colored water that we get from our tap or faucet. The color of the water can be
yellowish meaning the pipes are already old and rusty so it needs replacement
or there is a high level of the metallic compound in the water due to
inadequate filter process and this can be dangerous to our health. Let the
plumber inspect the cause of the discoloration of water and it will give you best
suggestion to solve the problem.
5. Hearing Odd Sound On Pipe
Sounds are the result of the pressure that works in the
water. If you had set it too low or too high then you can hear some knocking
sound on the water pipes. Check the gauge and lower it down if it is too high.
If you will just leave it that way, it can possibly burst the pipes or loosen
the straps of the pipes.
There are several plumbing problems that we often
experience in our homes, but with proper knowledge of how we can take good care
of our plumbing system, we can prevent spending money on replacement and
repairs. Calling your trusted plumber too once in a month for overall
inspection will also prevent worse damage and any slight and early signs of a
problem will be remedy before it will cause inconvenience to us.
